How Analyst Calls works
Rating changes come from published brokerage upgrade and downgrade histories, covering upgrades, downgrades, new coverage and price-target moves.
Publisher picks are public articles from Motley Fool, Zacks, Seeking Alpha, Morningstar, Barron's and Investor's Business Daily that recommend a single named company. Round-ups and sector stories are not attributed to any one stock.
The conviction score combines how many independent sources turned bullish in the last 30 days, the gap to the mean analyst target, the share of analysts rating the stock a buy, and each source's measured track record. One-day price moves play no part.
